Energy Upgrades for a Landmark Residential Tower

Working within a prestigious, fully occupied apartment block, our team delivered a suite of major energy saving upgrades with zero disruption to residents. These projects demanded precision, coordination, and adaptability. From rooftop solar installations to complex lighting and HVAC system overhauls, we designed and implemented tailored solutions that respected the building’s structure, met strict health and safety standards, and delivered measurable results.

The solar PV project, still underway, is expected to generate up to 60,000 kWh per year unlocking a potential £29k saving annually. In the underground car park, our rewiring and smart lighting controls reduced lighting energy use by 41 percent, and by optimising the building’s HVAC systems through new hardware and BMS adjustments, we achieved a 38 percent energy reduction, leading to a long term commitment from the client to modernise their full BMS system over the next five years.

What’s Next?

Following the success of the initial upgrades, the client has commissioned us to deliver a full Building Management System replacement across the entire site. This large scale project, phased over five years, will further modernise the building’s infrastructure, enhancing automation, environmental control, and energy efficiency. With a smarter, fully integrated BMS in place, the building will be positioned to meet both current performance goals and future net zero targets, with minimal disruption to residents throughout the rollout.
